Welcome to the Town of Pelham Public Library's Summer Reading Program in Pelham, NY! 

CHILDREN'S SUMMER READING
Please click register on the top right of page, create an account and sign up for a program in order to log points and earn rewards.

All prizes this year will be sourced from local Pelham businesses in the form of gift certificates.

Here's how it works: for each hour you read or listen (whether an audiobook or a caregiver reading to a child,) you receive 60 points (one point per minute.) You can redeem your points for the following rewards:

60 points or 1 hour = one little bird cookie(maximum of two per reader)

180 points or 3 hours = one slice of pizza(maximum of two per reader)

300 points or 5 hours = one ice cream cone(maximum of two per reader)

NOTE: You may read ANY books and log minutes for rewards. The reading lists attached to each program are merely suggestions. On the reading lists, you will find links to the library catalog where you will be able to place a hold on those titles. We have also uploaded the school reading lists as suggestions. 

As a celebration of their reading accomplishments and final wrap up party, all registered participants will be invited to receive an ice cream from the Pelicones ice cream truck on Friday, August 18th (subject to change). This marks the end of our 2023 Summer Reading Program.
